In a statement, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Y. Robert Ewing shared:
“Filipinos should look to the United States for exciting higher education opportunities. Welcoming over 4,000 Filipino students last year was an incredible achievement, and we are excited to see even more students unlock their potential, pursue their passions, and experience the unparalleled opportunities of a world-class U.S. education.”
According to the 2024 Open Doors Report, there were over 4,100 Filipino students studying in the United States—the highest recorded in the past 15 years. This significant milestone reflects the growing interest and confidence in U.S. institutions among Filipino families, both in the Philippines and abroad.
The EducationUSA University Fair builds on this momentum by offering up-to-date information on academic programs, scholarships, admissions procedures, and student visa requirements.
Organized by EducationUSA, the official advising network of the U.S. Department of State, the fair aims to make accurate, comprehensive, and accessible information about U.S. higher education available to students throughout the Philippines and the wider Filipino diaspora.
With nearly 4,000 accredited U.S. colleges and universities, Filipino students have access to a wide range of academic fields, research opportunities, and flexible degree pathways tailored to diverse career goals.
