QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. assured families of wounded and killed in action soldiers and police personnel of immediate aid in a fitting tribute during the observance of the 83rd Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor) on April 9 held at the AFP Commissioned Officers Country in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
The President joined the surviving families of soldiers from Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) who were killed and wounded in action and during police operations to pay tribute to their invaluable contribution to the pursuit of just and lasting peace.
“Ngayong araw, tinitiyak po natin na lahat ng pamilya na nawalan ng mahal sa buhay ay mabigyan ng kanilang benepisyo sa pinakamadaling panahon at sisimulan natin ngayon araw,” said Marcos, Jr. as the government starts providing the Comprehensive Social Benefits to families and beneficiaries of fallen soldiers and police officers.

The President likewise ensured that the government will extend all the necessary aid to the surviving families of the wounded and killed members of the AFP and PNP as a way of honoring their sacrifices.
