THE Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Batangas Provincial Office proudly announces a significant achievement—the Municipality of Padre Garcia, Batangas is now the first in the province to officially launch the eLGU and eGOVpay systems!

This milestone marks a transformative step towards building a “Bayang Digital ang Bagong Pilipinas,” where government services are faster, more convenient, and more secure for every Filipino. Constituents of Padre Garcia can now process transactions and payments anytime, anywhere, without the usual hassle.

What’s Now Possible for Padre Garcia:

• Seamless Online Payments for local government services via eGOVpay

• BPLS Module: Apply for a new Business Permit online

• LCR Module: Request copies of your Birth, Marriage, or Death Certificates with ease

• CEDULA Module: Apply for your Community Tax Certificate (Cedula) without the hassle

• eNEWS: Stay informed through the official Municipality of Padre Garcia Website

DICT Government Digital Transformation Bureau Director June Vincent Manuel Gaudan assured that it will prioritize the readiness of LGUs to adopt e-government platforms.

“First and foremost, we will assess the readiness of LGUs in onboarding to our eLGU [platform]. Second, if they are not yet ready and will need more training, we will provide training. We also have various services such as free cloud services and data center co-location.”

Meanwhile, Felix Tabanao, Jr., DICT Region IV-A Regional Director urged LGUs to support the national government’s push for more accessible and convenient public transactions.| – BNN with report from PIA
