THE Local Government Unit of Mataasnakahoy successfully held their Turnover Ceremony, June 30 at their Municipal Hall. The ceremony was attended by the outgoing and incoming officials, local government employees and the supporters of the new administration.
The event started with a Flag Raising Ceremony, followed by the thanksgiving program of MKBM electoral victory of 10-0 in the past elections.
Before the event, the outgoing officials held their final session, June 23, where they had the opportunity to extend and share their thank message as they complete their term.

In an interview, former mayor Janet M. Ilagan expressed her appreciation to the people of Mataasnakahoy who supported her in her 3 years of service, saying “Sa aking mga kababayan ako’y lubos na nagpapasalamat sa tiwala at pagmamahal na ibibigay nila sakin na hindi naman namin makakamit ang tagumpay nato kung wala rin ang kanilang kooperasyon.”
She also hopes that the new administration will continue the project they started particularly in infrastructures.
Meanwhile, the new officials wholeheartedly accepted the responsibility in leading the municipality.
According to Mayor Ellery Gardiola Silva, “Tinatanggap ko po ang responsibilidad at siguro naman po ay nakita niyo na hindi pa man kami pulitiko ay talaga namang 24 hours na kaming tumutulong sa ating bayan.”
