MARK Halili, the son of the slain mayor of Tanauan City expressed gratitude for the ‘new developments’ unfolding related to the killing of his father few years back.
Hence, his Official Statement reads:
“I will still have to consult our family and also our lawyers. Nevertheless, it’s a welcome development for the family, specifically as to the reason behind the assassination of my father, Mayor Antonio Halili. We will hold off on reaching a definite conclusion until we receive more evidence.
I still have complete and utter confidence in our police force.
I have had many dialogues with our PNP Regional Director, PNP Provincial Director and our Chief of Police, and I believe they have very good plans and strategies especially for the election period. I have given to our police force entirely the preservation of my personal safety. Ultimately, I am very hopeful that the PNP will be the leading agency in delivering justice to my father.
Our family wants to express our gratitude to the Quad Committee of the lower Congress for bringin in new leads and hopefully new evidence in finding the truth that my family has been looking for.
Finally, we request the support of all relevant authorities, including the PNP, NBI, and especially President Bongbong Marcos, so we can move forward from this difficult chapter in our lives.
