THE Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) under the leadership of PBGEN NICOLAS D TORRE III, AD, CIDG continues its relentless campaign against illegal activities through its flagship campaign OPLAN LIGAS, as four individuals were arrested during a successful operation targeting an illegal LPG refilling station on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Royal Gas Corporation located in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas.

Agents of CIDG Batangas Provincial Field Unit, in coordination with the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers Association (LPGMA), implemented a search warrant for violation of RA 11592 (LPG Industry Regulation Act) issued by Hon. Glenda Mendoza-Ramos, Executive Judge of RTC, Calamba City, Laguna dated October 8, 2024, leading to the seizure of numerous pieces of evidence and the arrest of the suspects identified as alias “Ronaldo”, alias “Nestor,” both operators, and alias “Roma”, alias “Leny,” both administrative staff.

Authorities confiscated a variety of illegal LPG equipment and products, including LPG tanks, gas fillers, and compressors, all valued at approximately PhP4,014,527.00. The arrest and evidence collection were properly documented, with two Alternative Recording Devices (ARDs) used during the operation.

“This operation is another testament to the CIDG’s commitment to ensuring public safety and cracking down on illegal business operations.
