LIPA City, Philippines — BUILDING on the success of the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) – Agency Summit 2024 held last August 19-21, 2024, the country’s biggest services and convergence caravan is now in Lipa City, Batangas and will last until tomorrow, August 25.

This event marked the second installment of the BPS in the CALABARZON region, following its initial debut in Santa Cruz, Laguna last November 2023.

The BPS Batangas is the 22nd BPSF which aims to reach all 82 provinces nationwide, bringing with it the advocacy of a “Mabilis, Maayos, Maginhawa at Masayang serbisyo publiko”.

Honorable Ralph G. Recto, Secretary of Finance and former Representative of the Sixth District of Batangas serves as the main host of the event. 

The Opening Program was held this morning at the Aboitiz Pitch – Lima Park, Lipa City, Batangas, August 24. 

House Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez represents President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and delivers the keynote message.

With the Speaker are 133 District and Party-list Representatives across all regions that will oversee agency consultations pursuant to the Bagong Pilipinas Bill to be crafted and filed in Congress.

True to its commitment to bringing efticient government services closer to the people, the BPSF Batangas features 50 participating agencies with 209 services that will be offered to over 60,000 targeted beneficiaries. In this two-day festival of services, a total of 563 million pesos worth of programs will be brought to the entire province and 265 million pesos of which will be in the form of cash assistance programs.

Furthermore, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is now conducting continuous payouts for 49,000 beneficiaries across the province of Batangas in the coming weeks. 

Other province-wide activities include various scholarship programs of CHED and TESDA, including livelihood assistance and opportunities for various sectors of pre-identified eligible clients across Batangas.

Tonight, a Pagkakaisa Concert will also be held at the same venue with free admission, expecting draw a crowd of at least 10,000 people.

In only a year since its launching, more than P12 billion worth of assistance were already provided to 2.5 million families across the 21 BPSFs. 

With the steadfast leadership of the Marcos administration, bolstered by the unwavering support of the House of Representatives through Speaker Martin nomualdez, this caravan of services will not end until the rest of the bo mechaces nave been visited. 

The BPS is the embodiment of a convergence mechanism for a whole-of-government and a whole-of-nation approach to nation-building and reigniting national pride. This endeavour proves testament to President Marcos’ vision of ensuring that no Filipino is left behind.| – BNN
